Greeter Ministry - Time to Reinvigorate!
6/10/20, 06:00 AM

Converts especially: we are talking to you! Cradle Orthodox are welcome too, but those who have chosen as adults to come to the Holy Church often have a zeal to help others find the True Faith, and have good ideas in this regard about what worked well when they became Orthodox and what didnt. This is a chance to put those hard-learned lessons into practice to help welcome others to St. Vladimirs, and potentially welcome them to the Holy Church!

How You Can Help!
1/10/20, 06:00 AM
Posted by Fr. Gregory

People often ask us how they can help our parish. On one level that answer is different for everyone. Each of us should use the talents that the Lord has given us for His glory. But specifically we need more catechists: trained parishioners who can help prepare adults for baptism, Godparents for their duties, and couples for marriage. Our diocesan Pastoral School has a Catechist Program that starts each fall. Please consider if you could enter this two-semester program. More catechists will help our parish A LOT. And if this isnt the thing for you that is fine but please do consider how you can use your talents for Gods glory. We will all answer for that when we leave this life. Lets prepare a good answer beginning today! For more information on our catechism program at St. Vladimir's please see Deacon Colin, who heads up this effort!

Weekly Educational Offering - Prepare for the Coming Sunday!
30/9/20, 06:00 AM
Posted by Fr. Gregory

We present here a short educational offering for both children and adults on the upcoming Sunday's principle Gospel reading so that all can better prepare for the Divine Services. Parents are asked to review the childrens portion with their children. It is very important for us to attend the Divine Services on Sundays and whenever else we are able, but in addition it is our spiritual responsibility to educate ourselves and our families in the faith. It is our hope that this mid-week offering will be an aid in this regard. Please contact Fr. Gregory with questions or suggestions.

For Adults: from the writings of Blessed Theophylact

For Children: from the Antiochian Archdiocese (various age groups)
