Confession & Communion at St. Vladimirís + Rule to Prepare for Communion
10/10/19, 06:00 PM
Posted by Fr. Gregory

Confession and Communion are the two sacraments we most often partake of as Orthodox Christians and thus it behooves us to learn about these, how to prepare for these, and how to best take advantage of the Grace that our Lord freely gives us in these sacraments. At St. Vladimirís we have created a special web site for this purpose with much information in this regard. Please find the web site listed below and please contact Fr. Gregory with questions!

From Strategy to Tactics - the Next Step in Evangelism
9/10/19, 12:00 PM
Posted by Fr. Gregory

We have talked a lot in the last few weeks about how we need to prepare the parish community to receive new people as part of our Evangelism. It is not that this question is now put to bed permanently, but there is no need to talk about the same thing all the time. In fact, I would argue that it is counter-productive to do so. The first few weeks of this effort to post weekly on Evangelism has been focused mostly on over-arching strategy, rather than tactics. Today I think we should begin to focus a little bit on tactics: actual things that we do to reach our goal of...

Monday First Things - Teachings of the Holy Fathers
7/10/19, 06:00 AM

ďDo not err, my brethren: if anyone follow a schismatic, he will not inherit the Kingdom of God. If any man walk about with strange doctrine, he cannot lie down with the passion. Take care, then, to use one Eucharist, so that whatever you do, you do according to God: for there is one Flesh of our Lord Jesus Christ, and one cup in the union of His Blood; one altar, as there is one bishop with the presbytery and my fellow servants, the deacons.Ē

Things We Sing Together at St. Vladimir's
5/10/19, 12:00 PM
Posted by Fr. Gregory

There are several prayers that we sing together at St. Vladimir's. We want you to know this so that you can practice. :) That way we will sing these with zeal - with power! WE SHOULD BE LIFTING THE ROOF WHEN WE SING THESE - THEY SHOULD BE SUNG VERY STRONGLY - ESPECIALLY THE CREED AND "HAVING BEHELD THE RESURRECTION..."

Saturday Vigil (and matins during Pentecost) - "Having Beheld the Resurrection of Christ":
