Parish Prayer Kit Now Available!
7/8/20, 06:00 AM

Everyone should own a prayer book. We strongly recommend the Jordanville edition, and we have this in our parish kiosk in English and Russian. However, sometimes we don't have a prayer book handy, or sometimes we need practical tools in our "prayer kit".

You Use Amazon – Support St. Vladimir’s

Most of us use amazon.com on some sort of regular basis. Why not do that shopping on Amazon Smile (smile.amazon.com) and choose “St Vladimir Russian Orthodox Church” (Location: Dexter, MI) as your charity? This is EXACTLY the same web site as amazon.com, but a portion of every dollar you spend goes to support St. Vladimir’s. It is EASY, QUICK, and PAINLESS. Click HERE to start using Amazon Smile and Support St. Vladimir’s – Thank You!

Weekly Educational Offering - Prepare for the Coming Sunday!
5/8/20, 06:00 AM
Posted by Fr. Gregory

We present here a short educational offering for both children and adults on the upcoming Sunday's principle Gospel reading so that all can better prepare for the Divine Services. Parents are asked to review the children’s portion with their children. It is very important for us to attend the Divine Services on Sundays and whenever else we are able, but in addition it is our spiritual responsibility to educate ourselves and our families in the faith. It is our hope that this mid-week offering will be an aid in this regard. Please contact Fr. Gregory with questions or suggestions.

For Adults: from the writings of Blessed Theophylact

For Children: from the Antiochian Archdiocese (various age groups)

IOCC Kits this Dormition Fast
4/8/20, 06:00 PM
Posted by Fr. Gregory

The Lenten period in preparation for the feast of the Dormition of the Mother of God begins August 14. It is our tradition to make IOCC School Kits (to help kids in countries that need to bring their own school supplies to school in order to attend school) during this Lenten period. We’ll do the same this year with appropriate disease precautions. On Sunday, August 16 we will have a special collection to support this effort. If you can’t make it that day please contact Marina Edwards to make your donation. On Saturday, August 22 we will make the school kits following the Divine Liturgy (starting about 10:30 a.m.). This is an important effort to get our KIDS involved in. They will be helping their peers in other countries to be educated. Please plan to join us in supporting this important effort!
