Young People are Coming January 14-15 – Volunteer to Host!
30/12/22, 06:00 PM
Posted by Fr. Gregory

Our parish is pleased to host the inaugural meeting of the Michigan Prince Vladimir Youth Association January 14-15, 2023. Young people aged 18-25 from throughout our state and the upper Midwest will join us, but they will need a place to stay January 14. A few may come for the ball on January 13, in which case they will need a place to stay for two days. The young people will be fully engaged throughout the day on January 14 and 15. They will not be hanging out at your house. :) But they do need a place to sleep. If you can host young people, please contact Fr. Gregory. If you cannot host young people, please contact Fr. Gregory to volunteer to help otherwise for this important event. We need all hands on deck to make this important event a success!

All hands on deck = EVERY STV FAMILY MEMBER!

Weekly Educational Offering - Prepare for the Coming Sunday!
28/12/22, 06:00 AM
Posted by Fr. Gregory

We present here a short educational offering for both children and adults on the upcoming Sunday's principle Gospel reading so that all can better prepare for the Divine Services. Parents are asked to review the children’s portion with their children. It is very important for us to attend the Divine Services on Sundays and whenever else we are able, but in addition it is our spiritual responsibility to educate ourselves and our families in the faith. It is our hope that this mid-week offering will be an aid in this regard. Please contact Fr. Gregory with questions or suggestions.

End of Year Donations for Tax Purposes - LAST WEEK TO ACT!
27/12/22, 06:00 PM
Posted by Fr. Gregory

Dear St. Vladimir’s Parishioners! We would like to urge you to consider whether making a donation to the parish before December 31, 2022 would be helpful for you as you consider your tax liability for the year 2022. Donations to St. Vladimir Church are deductible to the greatest extent allowable by law. Please do not hesitate to contact me if you have any questions in this regard. It is also very important that your address be up to date in our parish database. If you have moved this year please contact our parish Secretary, Marina Edwards (info@stvladimiraami.org), with your new address.

Let's Finish the Year Strong!
27/12/22, 06:00 AM
Posted by Fr. Gregory

As we approach the end of the year 2022 we have much to be thankful for as a parish family. We urge you to take some time during these last weeks of the year to thank God for His mercy upon our growing parish family. We would also like to ask you to reflect on your financial situation and consider whether you could make an end of year gift to our parish.

As the economy has struggled this year so too has our parish. Our expenses have remained essentially unchanged, yet we are poised to end the year in a deficit because recurring donations have decreased as the economy has worsened. On one hand that is completely understandable. People are nervous about the economy and need to cut their own expenses. On the other hand, we need to communicate to you the reality of the situation and ask your support of the parish that is here to serve you and your family.
