Please note: those who have confessed beginning December 31 need not confess again before Nativity, but are welcome to partake of the Holy Mysteries having prepared themselves by reading the appointed prayer rule and attending the Divine Services for the feast.

Please note that tonight's catechism class has been moved to Thursday evening, January 5. Vespers at 6:00 p.m. with catechism to follow. Please spread the word to all those whom you know, or even suspect, were planning to attend.

We present here a short educational offering for both children and adults on the upcoming Sunday's principle Gospel reading so that all can better prepare for the Divine Services. Parents are asked to review the children’s portion with their children. It is very important for us to attend the Divine Services on Sundays and whenever else we are able, but in addition it is our spiritual responsibility to educate ourselves and our families in the faith. It is our hope that this mid-week offering will be an aid in this regard. Please contact Fr. Gregory with questions or suggestions.

Dear St. Vladimir’s Parishioners! We would like to urge you to consider whether making a donation to the parish before December 31, 2022 would be helpful for you as you consider your tax liability for the year 2022. Donations to St. Vladimir Church are deductible to the greatest extent allowable by law. Please do not hesitate to contact me if you have any questions in this regard. It is also very important that your address be up to date in our parish database. As we approach the end of the year 2022 we have much to be thankful for as a parish family. We urge you to take some time during these last weeks of the year to thank God for His mercy upon our growing parish family. We would also like to ask you to reflect on your financial situation and consider whether you could make an end of year gift to our parish.

As the economy has struggled this year so too has our parish. Our expenses have remained essentially unchanged, yet we are poised to end the year in a deficit because recurring donations have decreased as the economy has worsened. On one hand that is completely understandable. People are nervous about the economy and need to cut their own expenses. On the other hand, we need to communicate to you the reality of the situation and ask your support of the parish that is here to serve you and your family.
