Congratulations to those Celebrating Nativity Today
25/12/20, 06:00 AM
Posted by Fr. Gregory

We congratulate all our parish friends and family who are celebrating the Incarnation of our Lord Jesus Christ today. Although we will not celebrate for 13 days as a parish we understand that most of our society is celebrating today - and whether you celebrate today or in 13 days it is still remarkable and noteworthy that more than 2000 years after the birth of the Savior the world still pauses to note His Incarnation on this day. May this be the year that the hymn of the angels heard all those centuries ago over Bethlehem be actualized in our world: Glory to God in the highest, and on earth, goodwill and peace.

Dear St. Vladimirs Parishioners! We would like to urge you to consider whether making a donation to the parish before December 31, 2020 would be helpful for you as you consider your tax liability for the year 2020. Donations to St. Vladimir Church are deductible to the greatest extent allowable by law. Please do not hesitate to contact me if you have any questions in this regard. It is also very important that your address be up to date in our parish database. If you have moved this year please contact our parish Secretary, Lauren Rogers (info@stvladimiraami.org), with your new address.

Divine Liturgy Added 12/25/20
21/12/20, 06:00 PM
Posted by Fr. Gregory

I spoke with Fr. Michael Carney this week about the feast day in Lake Odessa this year. We decided, given the pandemic, it is better not to mix our parish families at this time. Therefore, rather than encouraging folks to go to Lake Odessa this year we will have Liturgy at St. Vladimirs. Please join us on December 24 at 6:00 p.m. and December 25 at 8:00 a.m. for the Divine Services for St. Herman of Alaska. All are welcome! Please sign up on our parish home page so well be able to manage the number of people. If there is not enough space in the church proper well move the services to the winter worship space.

Brethren and fathers, God, who fashioned us and brought us out of non-existence into being, has placed us in this life as in a schoolroom to learn the gospel of his kingdom.

Emergency Cards Available
18/12/20, 06:00 PM
Posted by Fr. Gregory

The diocese has provided each of our parishes with Emergency Cards. These cards are to be filled out and put in your wallet so that if it were ever to happen that you were in an accident or otherwise needed spiritual support, but could not speak for yourself, the authorities would find the card in your wallet and call Fr. Gregory to come to you. We hope none of our parishioners ever needs to use one of these cards, but it is a good idea to have one just in case. Please see Fr. Gregory if you have questions. Emergency cards can be found near the front doors - near the pamphlets that are available to all for free.
