Monday First Things - Teachings of the Holy Fathers
29/7/19, 06:00 AM
Posted by Fr. Gregory

“And I, a sinner, have been trying to love God for more than forty years, and cannot say that I perfectly love Him. If we love someone we always remember him and try to please him; day and night our heart is occupied with that object.

Is that how you, gentlemen, love God? Do you often turn to Him, do you always remember Him, do you always pray to Him and fulfill His holy commandments? ‘For our good, for our happiness at least let us make a vow that from this day, from this hour, from this minute we shall strive to love God above all else and to fulfill His holy will.'”

Festival Sponsorship Web Site is UP!
25/7/19, 06:00 PM
Posted by Fr. Gregory

Please spread the word about festival sponsorships to your doctor, your dentist, your hair stylist, your dog groomer, your grass cutter, your water softener folks, etc., etc. YOU spend money (hundreds or thousands of dollars) at these businesses each year. Most of these businesses would be HAPPY to sponsor our festival since you have established a relationship already. The only way they will not sponsor the festival? If YOU don’t ask! So ask! :) Share any or all of this information with them:

FESTIVAL SPONSORSHIP SOLICITATION LETTER 2019

FESTIVAL SPONSORSHIP FORM

FESTIVAL SPONSORSHIP 3-FOLD SPONSORSHIP FORM

FESTIVAL 2019 SPONSORSHIP DONATION SITE

The people you do business with can’t find this information without you! Help them help our festival by asking them to sponsor the Russian Festival!

Weekly Educational Offering - Prepare for the Coming Sunday!
24/7/19, 06:00 AM
Posted by Fr. Gregory

We present here a short educational offering for both children and adults on the upcoming Sunday's principle Gospel reading so that all can better prepare for the Divine Services. Parents are asked to review the children’s portion with their children. It is very important for us to attend the Divine Services on Sundays and whenever else we are able, but in addition it is our spiritual responsibility to educate ourselves and our families in the faith. It is our hope that this mid-week offering will be an aid in this regard. Please contact Fr. Gregory with questions or suggestions.

For Adults: from the writings of Blessed Theophylact

For Children: from the Antiochian Archdiocese (various age groups)

22/7/19, 06:00 PM
Posted by Fr. Gregory

What a great week we had at this year’s Vacation Bible School! So many people worked hard to make this week possible – and we don’t want to forget even one. So we will not mention any by name. You know who you are. And if you didn’t have the opportunity help please say a prayer for those who worked so hard to make this a spiritually great week for our parish young people. May the Lord reward the workers 100 fold in this life – and the next – for their work for His Church!

Monday First Things - Teachings of the Holy Fathers
22/7/19, 06:00 AM

“It is better to choose a commendable war than peace which separates from God. The faith which I was taught by the Holy Fathers which I taught at all times without adjusting according to the times, this faith I will never stop teaching; I was born with it and I live by it.”
