HUGE SUNDAY UPCOMING!
4/4/24, 06:00 PM
Posted by Fr. Gregory

The third Sunday of Great Lent marks the halfway point of the fast. That third Sunday is the coming Sunday, and this Sunday is always dedicated to the Veneration of the Cross. But this year we have the blessing to also have the feast of the Annunciation of the Theotoks fall on this Sunday. So not only do we mark the midway point of the fast, but we also will celebrate one of the most important holidays of the Church Year. Please plan to join us for the Vigil on Saturday night, replete with the beautiful hymns to the Mother of God sung only on this day, as well as Divine Liturgy this coming Sunday!

Forefeast of the Annunication is this Saturday
3/4/24, 06:00 PM
Posted by Fr. Gregory

When the Annunciation falls on a Sunday in the middle of the feast, as is the case this year, the Soul Saturday is replaced by the Forfeast of the Annunciation. An interesting point. :) We will commemorate all those on our departed list at the liturgy, and you can ADD NAMES TO THAT LIST HERE, but there is no pannykhida this Saturday after the liturgy due to the feast.

Weekly Educational Offering - Prepare for the Coming Sunday!
3/4/24, 06:00 AM
Posted by Fr. Gregory

We present here a short educational offering for both children and adults on the upcoming Sunday's principle Gospel reading so that all can better prepare for the Divine Services. Parents are asked to review the children’s portion with their children. It is very important for us to attend the Divine Services on Sundays and whenever else we are able, but in addition it is our spiritual responsibility to educate ourselves and our families in the faith. It is our hope that this mid-week offering will be an aid in this regard. Please contact Fr. Gregory with questions or suggestions.
