Saturday Liturgies at STV
16/5/24, 12:00 PM
Posted by Fr. Gregory

We serve the Divine Liturgy every Saturday. Serving the Liturgy is always for the good of our parishioners, all of whom are spiritually benefited from the Liturgy. But we also do this for those who are NOT YET part of our parish family. When people learn about Orthodox Christianity of course they want to come and see. But if they already have a church it is sometimes hard to get away on Sunday morning. But Saturday mornings are generally free! And thus we see our Saturday Liturgies as a service for our parish family AND a missionary opportunity to allow more people to find out about the True Faith. Join us – whether you are a regular or visiting for the first time!

Weekly Educational Offering - Prepare for the Coming Sunday!
15/5/24, 12:00 PM
Posted by Fr. Gregory

We present here a short educational offering for both children and adults on the upcoming Sunday's principle Gospel reading so that all can better prepare for the Divine Services. Parents are asked to review the children’s portion with their children. It is very important for us to attend the Divine Services on Sundays and whenever else we are able, but in addition it is our spiritual responsibility to educate ourselves and our families in the faith. It is our hope that this mid-week offering will be an aid in this regard. Please contact Fr. Gregory with questions or suggestions.

Monday First Things - Teachings of the Holy Fathers
13/5/24, 06:00 AM
Posted by Fr. Gregory

What Christ has brought about by His Incarnation, we experience sacramentally in the Divine Liturgy: He who is and who was reveals to us Him who is to come (cf. Rev. 4:8), since the Liturgy provides the possibility for all rational creatures to experience ‘the ineffable mystery of eternal well-being’ together with Christ.
