The third Sunday of Great Lent marks the halfway point of the fast. That third Sunday is the coming Sunday, and this Sunday is always dedicated to the Veneration of the Cross. But this year we have the blessing to also have the feast of the Annunciation of the Theotoks fall on this Sunday. So not only do we mark the midway point of the fast, but we also will celebrate one of the most important holidays of the Church Year.
