Most of us use Amazon. Why not do that shopping on Amazon Smile (smile.amazon.com) and choose “St Vladimir Russian Orthodox Church” (Location: Dexter, MI) as your charity? This is EXACTLY the same web site as amazon.com, but a portion of every dollar you spend goes to support St. Vladimir’s. It is EASY, QUICK, and PAINLESS. On-Line Prayer Request

The single best way for us to pray for our friends and loved ones is to arrange for them to be remembered at the Divine Liturgy. We serve approximately 130 Divine Liturgies per year, so your friends or loved ones will be prayed for approximately every three days as a rule at St. Vladimir's. Please visit the page linked below to learn more and to arrange for your friends and loved ones to be commemorated at the Divine Liturgy at St. Vladimir’s:

Wednesday Mornings - Mark Your Calendars!
23/9/21, 06:00 PM
Posted by Fr. Gregory

SAVE THE DATES! More information will be coming soon, but what we can say for sure right now is that we will have Divine Liturgy every Wednesday this school year at 8:00 a.m. as part of the offerings from our parish school, the Ann Arbor Orthodox Classical Academy. Following the Liturgy there will be a Law of God lesson for Pre-K students in person and for K-2 on line. During the in person Pre-K Law of God lesson we will need volunteer help. Ideally volunteers who are not the mothers of those students. That way we can also hold a weekly meeting of our Mother’s Group during the lesson. There are several moving parts here, but with God’s help (and your volunteer efforts) we can do this.

Bottom line:

1. Save the dates – every Wednesday morning this academic year

2. Volunteer to help make this project work

Contact Fr. Gregory with questions or to learn more. Additional details, including sign up opportunities, coming next week.

Is it Christmas in September?

Please plan to join us for Divine Liturgy this Sunday. After the Liturgy we will have our weekly parish meal as usual, and during the meal: a bake sale! We have lots of sweets left over from the festival last weekend. Please plan to pick up some tasty treats and support St. Vladimir’s in the process! This isn't the Christmas bake sale - but the treats are just as tasty. Surprise your friends, loved ones, and office mates with a treat from St. Vladimir's!

Weekly Educational Offering - Prepare for the Coming Sunday!
22/9/21, 06:00 AM
Posted by Fr. Gregory

We present here a short educational offering for both children and adults on the upcoming Sunday's principle Gospel reading so that all can better prepare for the Divine Services. Parents are asked to review the children’s portion with their children. It is very important for us to attend the Divine Services on Sundays and whenever else we are able, but in addition it is our spiritual responsibility to educate ourselves and our families in the faith. It is our hope that this mid-week offering will be an aid in this regard. Please contact Fr. Gregory with questions or suggestions.

For Adults: from the writings of Blessed Theophylact

For Youth: from the Antiochian Archdiocese (various age groups)

Join us for Divine Services THIS WEEK
20/9/21, 06:00 PM
Posted by Fr. Gregory

Please plan to join us for the feast of the Nativity of the Mother of God (the first great feast of the Church Year) on September 20 at 6:00 p.m. for Evening Services on September 21 at 8:00 a.m. for Divine Liturgy. As an exception, it is blessed to work at the festival cleanup and listen to the Vigil there.

Also – the feast of Sts. Joachim & Anna will be served on Tuesday evening, September 21, at 6:00 p.m. for Evening Services and on Wednesday morning, September 22, for Divine Liturgy. Both Fr. Gregory and Fr. Colin will be way on Wednesday, so we have invited a visiting priest to serve Liturgy for our Annas (we have no Joachims – yet). Please be sure to celebrate your name’s day by attending Divine Liturgy and partaking of the Holy Mysteries so that our visiting priest does not serve for an empty church!

If you cannot come to the Evening Services or Liturgy please try to join us on one of our live streams:

“If it is my duty to get something done, I prefer it to be done with my neighbor’s advice, even if I do not agree with him and it goes wrong, rather than to be guided by my own opinion and have it turn out right.”
