Sisterhood Bake Sale is December 17 – Spread the Word! Help us Prepare!
1/12/16, 06:00 AM
Posted by Fr. Gregory

After our festival, our Christmas Bake Sale is probably our greatest outreach to the community. Let there be no mistake – this is also a fund raiser. So , just like the festival, this can be a missionary activity that also supports our parish. So let’s all join together and make this the BEST BAKE SALE EVER! First, spread the word – share this flyer with everyone you know and everyone you don’t:

http://stvladimiraami.org/flyers/bakesale2016.pdf

Get our Facebook event on your Facebook page – find that on our St. Vladimir Facebook page and share it!

Bake until you drop! Then take a breath, get up, and do it again! :) Contact our Head Sister, Leta Nikulshina, to let her know what you plan to bake so she can manage the overall event and make sure we don’t all make the same cookies. :) Her email is headsister@stvladimiraami.org and her cell number is 734-272-3826. Reach out to her today!

Weekly Educational Offering
30/11/16, 06:00 AM
Posted by Fr. Gregory

We present here a short educational offering for both children and adults. Parents are asked to review the children’s portion with their children. It is very important for us to attend the Divine Services on Sundays and whenever else we are able, but in addition it is our spiritual responsibility to educate ourselves and our families in the faith. It is our hope that this mid-week offering will be an aid in this regard. Please contact Fr. Gregory with questions or suggestions.

For Adults: the explanation of last Sunday's gospel reading by Blessed Theophylact:

New Parking Spaces – Please be Attentive
25/11/16, 06:00 PM
Posted by Fr. Gregory
Please note that with our new parking lots comes a new paradigm of providing reserved spaces for expectant mothers and for guests. We have placed signs in the spots that are reserved for this purpose. It is essential that those who are visiting for the first time find easy parking – this is the reason for the four guest spots we have reserved for guests. It is also essential that we support those families with young children – this is the reason for the two spots we have reserved for these families. The Church encourages us to have as many children as we reasonably can – we want to acknowledge that reality with our parking lot design. Reserved spots are found in the newly-paved lot just north of the handicapped lot. Thank you for your support of our efforts in this regard!

Liturgy on your Name's Day?
23/11/16, 06:00 PM
Posted by Fr. Gregory
It is a true blessing to have the opportunity to partake of Holy Communion on one's patron saint's day. Fr. Gregory is willing to consider serving Liturgy on your name's day – yes YOURS. If you would be willing to attend the Divine Services on the eve of the feast and on the feast itself, and to partake of Holy Communion on that day please contact him. This is not a guarantee that we can do this – but we can certainly try. But please don't tell him a week before. Something like six months before would be better – three months before as a minimum. See Fr. Gregory with questions!
