It is a true blessing to have the opportunity to partake of Holy Communion on one's patron saint's day. Fr. Gregory is willing to consider serving Liturgy on your name's day – yes YOURS. If you would be willing to attend the Divine Services on the eve of the feast and on the feast itself, and to partake of Holy Communion on that day please contact him. This is not a guarantee that we can do this – but we can certainly try. But please don't tell him a week before. Something like six months before would be better – three months before as a minimum. See Fr. Gregory with questions!

With the blessing of Archbishop Peter we will take up a collection to support Svyatogorsk monastery this coming Sunday. We are asking support for this monastery in that the monastery, being located in eastern Ukraine, continues to house and feed many of the civil war refugees there. The monastery has no political litmus test. They feed and house those in need – no matter which side of the conflict the refugees identify with. This year again Russian with Love, an organization of which our parish is an active member, will be hosting four medical burn staff from Russia. We are working closely with the University Trauma Burn Unit on this project. Our most important job is to providing housing for the 4 staff members coming from Russia. Please contact Fr. Gregory if you can help. We would like to provide a stable place for these folks to stay, so if you could host them for their whole stay that would be ideal. But if that isn’t possible that is fine too. Please contact Fr. Gregory if you can help in any way!

We are pleased to announce that Anastasia Klimzo will be heading our Youth Choir at St. Vladimir’s this year. We strongly urge parents to involve their children in the Youth Choir. Rehearsals will begin in the coming week. Please reach out to Anastasia in church or via email at info@stvladimiraami.org to arrange for your child to participate in the Youth Choir. This is a wonderful way for your child to learn more about the Divine Services and use the talent that God has given him or her for His glory! The more the children are involved in their faith the more they will persist in their faith – so please help facilitate your child’s involvement in the Youth Choir!
