Monday First Things - Teachings of the Holy Fathers
31/5/21, 06:00 AM
Posted by Fr. Gregory

Sinners that repent are still saved; both publicans and fornicators cleansed by repentance enter into the Kingdom of Heaven.

The compassionate God still calls to Himself all that have turned away, and He awaits them and promises them mercy.

The loving Father still receives His prodigal sons come back from a far country and He opens the doors of His house and clothes them in the best robe, and gives them each a ring on their hand and shoes on their feet and commands all the saints to rejoice in them.

Weekly Educational Offering - Prepare for the Coming Sunday!
26/5/21, 06:00 AM
Posted by Fr. Gregory

We present here a short educational offering for both children and adults on the upcoming Sunday's principle Gospel reading so that all can better prepare for the Divine Services. Parents are asked to review the children’s portion with their children. It is very important for us to attend the Divine Services on Sundays and whenever else we are able, but in addition it is our spiritual responsibility to educate ourselves and our families in the faith. It is our hope that this mid-week offering will be an aid in this regard. Please contact Fr. Gregory with questions or suggestions.

For Adults: from the writings of Blessed Theophylact

For Youth: from the Antiochian Archdiocese (various age groups)

All Parish Pascha Party is Back!
25/5/21, 06:00 AM
Posted by Fr. Gregory

Fr. Gregory, Elizabeth, Misha, Masha, and Natasha invite everyone to join us for our Pascha party on Sunday, May 30, 2021 at 6:00 p.m. at our house in Saline. The rain date is Monday, May 31 2021. Why do we need a rain date? Because we will hold the party outside! We’ll have a bon fire, lots of non-Lenten food, drinks, and hopefully a lot of fun! Don’t know where we live? Please send a note to info@stvladimiraami.org now (not on May 30 when you leave your house!) and we’ll share details with you. Everyone is welcome! Come celebrate the Resurrection of our Lord with our whole parish family in the best pandemic style!

Mid-Pentecost is this Wednesday
24/5/21, 06:00 PM
Posted by Fr. Gregory

Please join us Tuesday at 6:00 p.m. and Wednesday at 8:00 a.m. for the feast of Mid-Pentecost. This is the half way point between Pascha and Pentecost. After the Divine Liturgy there is a lesser blessing of water. This water was traditionally used to bless the fields that are planted at this time of year. If you cannot come to the Evening Services or Liturgy please try to join us on one of our live streams:

FIND ST. VLADIMIR LIVE STREAMS

All are welcome! The services will be inside the church, so we ask that you sign up. This allows us to understand the number of people that will attend since we have limited, physically distanced spaces inside the temple. The link to the sign up sheet can be found on our parish home page. If you have any trouble finding that please email: info@stvladimriaami.org.

Monday First Things - Teachings of the Holy Fathers
24/5/21, 06:00 AM

At that time, the High Priest was in ecstasy, filled with the Spirit of God, and understood that the maiden was the dwelling place of divine grace and more worthy then he to stand always before God’s countenance. He remembered that the Law commended the Ark be placed in the Holy of Holies and straightway perceived that this ordinance pertained to the maiden.
