PLEASE NOTE! We have removed those from the list that we believe no longer should be present there. If you requested that someone be included in this list please review it carefully to make sure we have not removed someone erroneously. If we have, please contact Fr. Annual Meeting is May 16 – Membership Drive on Now!
7/5/21, 06:00 PM
Posted by Fr. Gregory

Please join us for our annual parish meeting on May 3/16, 2021. God willing, the Kursk Icon will be present for the annual meeting. That is a first for our parish, and likely will never happen again. We need to see that as a blessing, and perhaps even a message. The Lord has blessed us greatly during the pandemic. The Parish Council is very interested in finding the silver lining of the cloud that is the pandemic. To find out what that means (and it means something very significant for our parish) join us at the meeting!

Kursk Root Icon to Visit St. Vladimir’s
6/5/21, 06:00 PM
Posted by Fr. Gregory

God willing the Kursk Root Icon of the Mother of God will visit our St. Vladimir parish on Saturday, May 15 and Sunday, May 16. As is our parish tradition, we hope to keep the church open all night from Saturday to Sunday to allow people to venerate the icon from around our region. This provides a wonderful opportunity for our parish family members to spend time with the icon in the church in a quiet, prayerful atmosphere. But in order to provide this service to our parish family, friends, and neighbors we need volunteers to be with the icon at all times. The sign up for this duty can be found here:

Visiting Graves Thomas Sunday
6/5/21, 06:00 AM
Posted by Fr. Gregory

As is our usual practice we will visit the graves of our friends and loved ones on Thomas Sunday (May 9) to greet them with the Resurrection of the Lord. We will process after the late Liturgy with our first stop to serve a Litya for the departed at the memorial rock at St. Vladimir’s. We will then go to the graves in our parish cemetery. We should arrive at Forest Hill Cemetery about 2:30 p.m. For the graves of those we cannot visit on Thomas Sunday we will visit after the Liturgy on Radonitsa (May 11). On that day we will serve Liturgy at 8:00 a.m. followed by the first Pannykhida after Pascha. If you have graves that you would like our clergy to visit during this Paschal season please contact Fr. Gregory to arrange a visit.

First Sunday of the Month – Helping You Support Your Parish
5/5/21, 06:00 PM
Posted by Fr. Gregory

Each first Sunday of the month (unless Pascha falls on the first Sunday, in which case we do this on the second Sunday) we will have Parish Council members ready to help you during the parish meal. Help you by answering questions you may have about why you should support your parish. Help you by answering questions about how you can support your parish. Help you by assisting you in setting up a recurring donation to support St. Vladimir’s if you would like to do so. No one will attack you. :) But if you would like help, or you have questions, we are setting aside this time specifically for this purpose.

All are welcome! The services will be inside the church, so we ask that you sign up. This allows us to understand the number of people that will attend since we have limited, physically distanced spaces inside the temple. The link to the sign up sheet can be found on our parish home page. If you have any trouble finding that please email: info@stvladimriaami.org.
