Forecasts call for 1-300” inches of snow, as usual, in Southeast Michigan this weekend. :) It seems that there really will be some snow on Sunday morning, however.

We have our snow removal team ready to go beginning at 8:00 a.m. on Sunday. Bottom line: the parking lots at church should be in pretty good shape when you arrive on Sunday. The key is to arrive safely. How? TAKE SOME EXTRA TIME TO GET TO CHURCH. Leave early enough that you can afford to go more slowly than you usually do, and to allow those who are zealous to go into the ditch to proceed before you. Slow and steady wins the race. Keep this in mind on Sunday and you should be just fine.

Inclement Weather Policy
Approved by St. Vladimir Church Parish Council February 21, 2005

In case of inclement weather St. Vladimir’s parishioners are urged to use caution and their best judgment when deciding whether to travel to the parish church for Divine Services. If the priest is able to reach the church the Divine Services will be conducted, but if parishioners perceive the driving conditions to be dangerous they should not feel compelled to travel to church.

В случае плохой погоды мы рекомендуем всем прихожанам Свято-Владимирского храма быть осторожными и осмотрительными, решая, ехать или не ехать на службу в храм. Богослужения совершаются во всех случаях, если священник может добраться до храма, но это не значит, что прихожане обязаны приехать на службу - если обстановка на дорогах слишком опасна, им следует воздержаться от поездки.
