Feast of the Founding of the Church of St. George in Lydda
16/11/18, 12:00 PM

Today is an interesting feast of St. George the Great Martyr. On this day the basilica in Lydda, where St. George’s relics were placed and where they remained for centuries, was consecrated during the reign of St. Constantine the Great. Although a minor feast of St. George it is not a minor feast for our parish family, since this is the Slava of Milo Radulovic, our founding Starosta and a huge force in the establishment of our St. Vladimir parish. We ask your prayers for Milivoje on this day, the day his family many centuries ago rejected paganism and became Christian. May the memory of our Milo be truly eternal and may the merciful Lord reward him in the next life for his work for the Lord’s Church in this life!
